Scholarships

Georgia United Foundation is excited to offer scholarship opportunities to our young members! We are now accepting applications for the 26th Annual High School Competition, which offers college scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend college or a technical school during the 2020-2021 school year.

 

Showcase your creativity through a 1-minute video submission answering the question, “Georgia United was founded on the principle of supporting the community through education. How are you going to use your education to help your community?" Additional consideration is given to academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and participation in both school and community activities.

Click here to submit your scholarship application (don't forget to include a link to your video on YouTube.com and the video file with your application). All components must be submitted by midnight on February 28, 2020 for your application to be considered.

Applications are due by 11:59pm on February 28, 2020 

$27,500 in scholarships are awarded in four opportunities: 

  • Vernon E. Carne Scholarship for $10,000       

  • Geraldine Tilson Scholarship for $7,500

  • Polly Hinde Scholarship for $5,000

  • Dorothy Dusenberry Pirkle Scholarship for $5,000

Eligibility 

  • Applicants must be high school seniors graduating and entering an accredited college or technical school.

  • Applicants must be a member of Georgia United and accounts must be in good standing. 

Entry

Requirements:

  • Create a 1-minute video answering the following question: "Georgia United was founded on the principle of supporting the community through education. How are you going to use your education to help your community?"

  • Submit an online application including your scholastic achievements and community service projects.
